Hong Kong Day 1

This was a free and easy trip, hence, you'd only see either Darling or me in most of the photos. Haha...

Our flight on Thursday was 6+am, and we had to reach the airport at 4+am, meaning we had to wake up at freaky 3+am! We forced ourselves to sleep at 9pm the night before. =(

Breakfast at the airport.

Very sleepy us.

It was ultra cloudy in Hong Kong. Air steward mentioned that the weather at disneyland was bad. Minni was so worried that I couldn't see my Mickey & Minnie speak cantonese. *cries*

Upon arrival at the airport, our agency arranged for people to fetch us to our hotel.
The Disneyland was very near to the airport. It only took us 15 minutes to reach. But as can be seen above, the weather was really gloomy. =(

First meal in Hong Kong was at this restaurant in our Disney Hollywood Hotel. Everything is about Mickey, the lights, the chairs, the menu, the plates...

Even the ketchup! Haha... Darling ordered the burger, and I ordered the seafood spaghetti. The food was yummy.

Minni wasn't feeling well that morning, coz of my dreadful running nose. Haiz... I need more Vitamin C.

And us outside the restaurant.

And us around the hotel.

Outside our hotel. We had to wait outside the hotel for shuttle bus to take us to the Disneyland Park.

And here's Disneyland!

I only took photos at the Pooh and Beast lamp posts, coz these are my favourites. Haha...

At the entrance.

First destination in the park was at the TomorrowLand.
Can you spot the ever familiar castle we always see in Disney movies/cartoons behind me? Hehe...

The first ride we took.

Darling went to take this alone. I didn't dare to. See the warning signboard beside at the entrance, not for the faint hearted. This is the only thrilling ride in the whole park. Haha... Goody goody!

Next was Autopia.

Next, we moved on to the FantasyLand. We went to this Storybook Theatre for the "Golden Mickeys" musical play. Initially we were still thinking it might be a sub-standard-kiddish-like play. But we were wrong! The play was impressive, very up to standard okay.

The Toy Story.

And my all time favourites, Beauty & the Beast!
They also had Lilo & Stitch, Little Mermaid, Mulan, Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc.

Our next destination was "it's a small world" land. A boat ride to see small dolls.

Thanks to these coupons, we got to buy cheap ice-cream.

My first time taking carousel. Don't laugh at me can. I know I'm a mountain tortoise.
This is called the Cinderella Carousel.

Next was at the Fantasy Garden to take photos with the disney characters. WoooHooo...

First was Minnie with Minni (Me). Haha...

The Pooh. Don't know why he didn't bring his honey with him. =( And I didn't see his friends, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore too.

Playful Pluto.

And the very rough Goofy. I said he was very rough coz he was hugging me very tightly, like as if going to crush my skinny shoulders. Haha...

Lastly, the Mickey!

Dinner was at River View Cafe in the park, coz we wanted to use the discount coupons. Hehe... Cheapo us.
Halfway through our dinner, the sky suddenly turned ultra super duper dark. And the wind was ultra super duper strong. So scaaarrrryyyyy~~~ I guess if I were to walk out of the cafe at that time, I would have blown away. Haha..

Our initial plan was to go watch the fireworks at the Sleeping Beauty Castle at 8pm. But due to the weather, we decided to go back to hotel. And so, there goes my very first must-see in Hong Kong. And guess what, when we were back in the hotel, the rain stopped again. Arghhhh...

The hotel lift.

Our room in Disney Hollywood Hotel. It was super duper nice lor. You can spot Mickey anywhere and everywhere.

We went for a swim at the hotel swimming pool, though Minni don't know how to swim at all. Haha...

Some shots before we slept.
I was hoping for Mickey and Minnie to come into my dreams. And of coz, they didn't. =(

That's all for Day 1. Day 2 coming up soon, I hope.

Ta-ta!
