Day 1: 18th Dec 2008
Darling and I reached airport at 12am. Took the 2.20am flight to Seoul. Taking overnight flight was like hell. Darling usually sleeps quite early, my poor early baby was forced to sleep that day, and poor me had to tahan all his craps while waiting to board the plane.
Reached Seoul early in the morning. The first sunrise in the plane was amazingly beautiful. We rushed to the toilets and changed into winter clothings before stepping out of the airport. The first two things we bought upon reaching Korea was a bottle of mineral water and Dunkin' Donuts. Dunkin' Donuts were everywhere in Korea. They even have Dunkin' Donuts cafes and restaurants.
Oh ya, the moment we changed into our winter clothings, Darling and I rushed out of the airport to "test" the weather. And OMG!!! It was so cold until when we breathe or talk, you can see smoke coming out of our mouth! (or water vapour, or whatever you call that) I thought this kind of things only happened in Korean dramas. Haha... Next, we took coach to our lunch place.
We had to remove our shoes before entering the restaurant. All of us had to sit on the floor. Though it was freezing cold outside, the floor was very warm.
We had mushroom hot pot for our lunch. Yes, there were pork. So Minni only ate the mushrooms. However, in my subsequent entries, you will see that Minni had got no choice but to join in and eat tiny winny itsy bitsy bit of pork. *cry*
After lunch, we left for the Daejanggeum Theme Park. Don't be deceived by our smiles, it was super duper ultra cold. Minni's hands were freezing at that time. Haha...
Next stop was the Insa-Dong shopping street. It was a long street with lots of art galleries and shops. On the bottom left photo, I found this shop very interesting. The owner was so cute, and purposely posed for me to take photo. But I've forgotten what he was selling. Haha... On the bottom right, saw this group of people marching across the street. But don't know who they are. I thought they might had just finished filming some shows nearby. Haha...
Darling and I were literally eating non-stop from the start of the street to the end of the street, coz it was ultra cold!! BbbbbrrrrrrrrThereafter, we took domestic flight and flew to Jeju Island.
As for dinner, I finally had fishy!!! But the mackerel was abit salty though.
We checked into the Jeju Grand Hotel.Day 1 was super tiring, coz we did not sleep much on the plane the night before. But we were already getting used to the freezing temperature. Anyway, stay-tuned for my Day 2 updates.
