Happy Teachers' Day!

Happy Teachers' Day to all teachers in the whole wide world!

This morning, while I was still sleeping soundly, I received an SMS at 10.25am. (Yes, I slept till that late, piggy me!)

I was reluctant to get out of bed, and continued to laze on my bed till 11+am. The SMS was from someone not in my contact list, and the number didn't ring a bell in my head.

But that message really made my day!

"Thank you for nurtuing and guiding me. I will always remember you as a respectful teacher. Happy Teachers' Day. - Marcus Toh"

Aaaawwwwwww... So very sweet right.

Actually I don't teach him this year. In fact, I taught him when he was in Primary 4, and now he's in Primary 6. 3 years in this Kiddoland and I can say that he's my most most most favourite student. Not because he sent me this SMS la. He's a very thoughtful and sensible boy. And most importantly, his ambition is to become a Chinese teacher in future. Wow!

He has been giving me prezzie and cards every year since Primary 4. And everytime we see each other in school, even when we're very far away from each other, he'll still give me a slight nod to greet me.

It's always during these moments that make me determine to stay on, that reminds me that my decision to join teaching profession is the right-est decision I've made.

=)
