过大礼

Finally got the time to blog about my 过大礼. Darling reached at around 10+am together with his friend, James. I was so shocked when I saw Darling wore so formal. I was expecting him to wear jeans and polo T-shirt. Haha... Unlike me, was still wearing my shorts.

From left to right are my 2nd aunt, Mummy, Daddy and Darling. My 2nd aunt specially came to Singapore to help Mummy with the preparation.

And here's our gorgeous 喜饼. We got this online from Sweetest Moments. This company also did baby full month packages for many celebrities like Ivy Lee, Ben Yeo and Jamie Teo. Love its elegant design, personalized messages at the box cover, and the cutie ribbon for easy handling of the boxes.

A few friends were asking me regarding the stuffs we bought for our 过大礼. We did quite abit of research online, and got this contact from Jiamei. After much comparison across many shops, this is the cheapest one we came across. We bought ours from Chinatown. It's at Block 335, Smith Street, next to Chinatown Complex, Level 1. Cannot really remember the unit number but it was quite easy to find. Though the shop looks small, it has everything you need. Just tell the shop owner your hubby's dialect group, and they will know what to get for you. Of coz, you gotta double check with your parents on the list of stuffs you all need to get.

Below is the list of stuffs I bought:

1. Baby 冲凉的盆
2. 装牙刷牙膏的杯 (x2)
3. 牙刷 (x2)
4. 牙膏 (x2)
5. 洗脸盆
6. potty
7. 床头灯一对
8. 给男方一套睡衣
9. 1 set of tea set for tea ceremony at Groom's place on AD (I bought 2 though, 1 for Groom, 1 for Bride)
10. 1 pair of bowl set
    
11. 扇子 (x2)
12. Red umbrella

Total = $146

I also bought a bed sheet set previously for 安床.

Below is the list of stuffs Darling bought:

1. 龙凤蜡烛（两对）
2. Basket to contain the apples and oranges
3. A red packet for 聘金
4. A packaged barang barang for 安床

Total = $80

The above-mentioned are only stuffs we bought from Chiantown. There are alot of things which are not included in the list. E.g. the apples and oranges, hard liquor, cakes, etc which Darling got to buy.
