Lots of delivery were done yesterday. Rushed down to Parkway Parade to draw money for last payment of our renovation work. Thereafter, went to buy padlock. Just when we were shopping for padlock, Darling's handphone rang, it was the delivery man from Serta. They informed us that they were about to reach our place. Hence, we took a cab and rushed down to our love nest. Reached our love nest at around 12pm.
Here's our king size bed which fits just nice in the tiny winny space in our master bedroom. Hahaha...
The bed came with a matching bench too.

And we had 2 pillows and 1 mattress protector for free.

Next up was delivery from Harvey Norman. Check out the mess in our dining room.

Harvey Norman charged us $30 for delivery. And they didn't even help us assemble. Piang. We had to assemble all the stuffs by ourselves. What a "good" service huh!
We decided to assemble our vacuum cleaner first. It took us quite some time putting all the different parts together. We tried reading the instruction manual. But gave up in the end coz we couldn't figure out what was drawn in the book. In the end, Darling decided to put everything together using brute force. Hahahahaha... Faint.

And TA-DA! We made it.

First job for our vacuum cleaner was to vacuum the kitchen. Coz we called the people from Town Gas to on our gas supply, and they made our kitchen ultra dirty.

Our Tefal iron. Have not bought ironing board yet. Hehe...

Cornell rice cooker.

Tefal oven. Oh yes, we also bought a Philips Mixer, which I had forgotten to take photo. That day when we were paying for this oven and mixer, Darling kept saying, "Must make cake and cookies for me huh!" Faint.

Sharp microwave.

This is the 32" LCD TV which Darling insisted on buying. Coz he mentioned that my 26" LCD at home was too small for our bedroom. Hmph!
Out of so many things that the Harvey Norman men delivered, they only helped us assembled this. BUT BUT BUT!!! This TV didn't come with any antenna cable! Yes, no antenna how to watch TV???? And the reason they gave was that nowadays most households already have the antenna, moreover, their big time rival, Courts, is also not providing antenna anymore. WTH! Most households have, but doesn't mean new flats like ours have. In the end, we had to buy antenna cables ourselves.
Last delivery of the day was our bookshelves from Novena. Words of advice... Don't buy furniture from Novena unless you can tahan low quality goods, or goods with flaws.
Heard from a colleague of his unhappy experience with Novena on Wednesday. But at that time, it was too late. We ordered this bookshelf from them about a month ago. Darling and I were praying hard that nothing would go wrong. But true enough, everything just went wrong for our bookshelf.
At night, we went out for dinner, and bought some stuffs before returning back to our love nest. Bought 2 of these antennas. Just in case Gain City also don't provide us with antennas next week when our living room TV comes.

This is a 2 piece bookshelf. When they moved the bookshelf to our study room, I saw some chips at the side of the shelf. The delivery men mentioned that it was just glue. But when he tried to wipe it away, it couldn't work. Guess what he did? He took our a black marker and coloured the areas with chips right in front of us!!!! OMG!! So ridiculous right? Luckily the chips were not very prominent, it was near to the back of the bookshelf.
Then, Darling found a hole at the left side of the shelf. It was not very obvious, coz again, it was camouflagued with black marker again. You must feel it with your hands. In the end, the delivery men got no choice but to go back to his lorry and get a new set for us. Not only these flaws, there was click sound whenever you close the 2 big glass doors.
The people from Novena were considered lucky. If Darling and I were to be nasty with them, we could have scolded them upside down. In the end, considering that we can still bear with the flaws, decided to let the matter rest.

So conclusion, DON'T BUY FROM NOVENA!!!
Alright, enough of unhappy stuffs.

We unwrapped our 2 rocking chairs yesterday. It's alot more comfy than it seems.
