Minni's Hols Part 3

Love Nest

After getting our keys to our love nest, we had went there a number of times basically to pray and to have contractors there to look at our house for quotation. Actually we didn't have to look for many contractors before we found one which is very very good with his workmanship, service, and most importantly, his quotation is well within our budget. However, still need to discuss some details before we sign contract with them.

Here's some photos of our love nest before renovation. This will be our dining room with Darling's pool-cum-dining table. This photo is taken with the panorama function of my new Sony camera.

The conice design in our dining room which we will be keeping. The light will be changed though.

The door to the kitchen, which will be walled up to make this entrance smaller, and install a new sliding door.

The kitchen will be totally hacked away, with totally different layout.

The laundry area.

The common toilet which will be re-done completely.

Our living room.

The master bedroom is quite small. Quite abit of work will be done in this room compared to other rooms.

The previous owner designed this mini walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom, which I find is a very unique idea, but we will be removing it totally. Haha...

The ultra dirty and disgusting bathroom in our bedroom will be changed totally too.

The bedroom beside ours will be our study room.

Another bedroom will be set aside as our baby room. As of now, still don't know what to put here. =P

Guess our renovation work can only start after CNY. Hopefully everything will turn out smoothly. Keeping fingers crossed.

Sewing Machine - My dowry

Since young, I have been yearning for a sewing machine of my own. I used to save up money, intended to buy one for myself. However, at that time, my mum kept telling my not to waste money coz eventually she would buy me one as my dowry. WoooHoooo! And here it is, my long awaited sewing machine.

Pardon my messy table, I've yet to have the time to pack. I've already started testing the sewing machine and it was awesome! I'm going to start digging out all my handicraft books to start sewing away. Hehe...

Pre-wedding Photoshoot
We had finished our photoshoot at My Bridal Room. Darling and I had taken so so so many photos behind the scenes. But I was contemplating whether to upload these photos now or not. Coz if I were to upload them now, then there will not be anymore surprise on our wedding day. =( Hence, decided to blog about our photoshoot after our wedding.
I'm only gonna reveal this photo below. This was taken after we had finished taking photos for 3 gowns, and this was for my evening gown. Before changing into my evening gown, I had my hair and make-up done before having a 15 minutes lunch break. I love my hair and my slightly smoky eyes. This is more or less gonna be my hairdo and make-up on my actual day for banquet.

Initially in the morning, there was very heavy rain. Darling was deciding whether to cancel the photoshoot. He even went online to check the weather forecast, and the website said that it would be thunderstorm the whole day. Awww... However, we were hopeful that the weather would turn for the better, and therefore decided to go for the photoshoot.

We reached the place at 9am, and waited for our make-up artist. Our appointment was 9.30am. We took quite some time doing the make-up for Darling and myself.

The photographer mentioned that we were very fast. Hence, we managed to go 3 places for outdoor shoot, different from the previous agreement where we were only entitled to 2 locations. Haha... All thx to Minni's 自拍功力, we understood what the photographer want after only a few shots. We finished all studio shots at 4.30pm, changed into outdoor gown, rest awhile, and left the bridal shop at around 5.15pm.

We went Botanic Garden, Hort Park and Fullerton for our outdoor shoot. Thank guan yin ma, all the places where we went had already stopped raining.

Would like to share some experience of my outdoor shoot with all bride-to-bes. The Botanic Garden is a very beautiful place to take photos. However, when we were there, as the place just finished raining when we reached, all the creepy crawlers were crawling out of the grass. You could see ants, and real big fat red ants everywhere. And because I was wearing can-can, with my very long gown dragging across the floor and grass, some ants literally ran into my dress. It was disgusting cum itchy to the max. Luckily I wasn't bitten by any ants at all. So think twice before you decide whether to go Botanic Garden or not.

Nevertheless, the whole process of our photo-taking was very fun and relaxing. I was not very tired though, unlike what I heard from other brides in the forum. Have already went down to My Bridal Room to see our photos. All the photos look so nice. We so wanted all photos to go into our album. My Darling was so impressed by the photography skills of our photographer, and nearly wanted to top up another $2k to buy all soft copies of the photos. Piang. Luckily I was rational enough to stop him. Haha...

Come to think of it, I have less than 6 months before our Big Day. Yeah!

End of Part 3. Part 4 is in the making.
