Day 5: 22nd Dec 2008
We didn't have to wear our own coat that day. We wore the rented ski clothes and gloves. See my crazy Darling in his Ninja pose (top left photo). Crazy him. *rolling my eyes* We went over to the ski centre, and tried on our ski shoes.
The temperature that day was -8 degree celcius. U must be thinking it's ultra cold right. But NO! When we were actually skiing, it was not cold at all. In fact, Darling even started to sweat when he was skiing. Haha... He's a sweaty baby...
Minni is proud to say that I know how to ski now!!! Woooo Hooo... But of coure, easy slopes la. I actually promised myself that I'm going to learn how to ski with sero fall... But when I nearly did it, a big guy from our tour grp knocked me down. #@$%&@^# *angry*
When we were walking back to the hotel, the 2 childish old Kelvins played snow fight. Piang... 吃不大。haha...
The view from our room. So so so many pple were there skiing.
Lunch for that day was dumpling steamboat. The orange colour dumplins are kimchi dumplings... Yucksy to the max. *bleah*
Thereafter, we went to learn how to make kimchi. The blue cup below was ginseng milk. Minni dun really like the taste. Taste abit sweety, and yet with very strong ginseng and milk smell. Oh ya, it's not supposed to be used to make the kimchi la.. It was there for us to drink de. Haha...
Our red aprons.
And everyone in the room busy taking photos, nobody bothered about the teacher. Haha... Typical Singaporeans. The teacher in front (the lady in pink) speaks really good Chinese.
Us, and our kimchi. I think I did a better job than Darling. His was ultra disgusting. Haha... He's gonna kill me if he reads this.
Anyway, the kimchi that we made were sent to old folks' home for charity purpose. They would sell us their own kimchi, we need not bring our disgusting kimchi home. Haha..
After making kimchi, we were allowed to try on their Hanbok. I just love this little girl. She's soooooo sweet. And her name is the direct opposite of mine. Her name is Minghui. And I'm Huimin. hahaha...
And us in Hanbok. We didn't know what the different costumes were for. Darling was praying hard his costume was not for eunuch. Haha...
This photo looks as if we have 3 children huh. Haha... But I love this photo. Hehe...
And this too. The 3 princesses from our tour group. Minghui, Chandelle and Megan.
And the 2 Kelvins' family.
And us again. Hehe
Thereafter, we went back to Seoul. We went to Dongdaemun for shopping shopping shopping!!! My favourite. Haha... There were many many shopping malls. But because we were there quite early, we only went to one building to shop. But that was already enough, coz the building had like 7 floors. Shop until u drop. Haha... All the malls would be opened until 5am. Waaaa... How I wish I can stay there for good. Haha...
We ordered their ice chocolate, even though it was icy cold outside. Haha...
The night view in Seoul.
Their Christmas deco was awesome! More Xmas feel than Singapore.
Dinner was my long-awaited Ginseng Chicken. We were served Ginseng wine. But because Minni doesn't drink alcohol at all, I poured the whole cup of wine into my Ginseng Chicken soup. Haha... *Yum Yum*
Our stay for the last 2 nights in Korea was Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel, a 6-stars hotel. But I still like the LA Hotel, more than this.
Maybe partly because their toilet bowl do not have auto warmer. Hahaha...
We walked around the hotel, and took photos.
Alright, Day 6 is still in the making. School term has started. Minni is abit busy now. But will try hard to finish blogging about my Korea trip. Haha... Oh ya, I still got my Vietnam trip not done... Arghhhh!
