Korea Day 2

Day 2: 19th Dec 2008

Day 2 was the most tiring day for us, coz it was the day with the most itinerary to cover. Still at Jeju, we woke up early and set off for our abalone porridge breakfast. It was really ultra super duper yummilicious. If only I have abalone porridge for breakfast everyday, I swear I will never skip breakfast ever again. Haha...

Jeju's weather was much warmer than Seoul. However, the temperature still remained at single digit. After breakfast, we went to Yongduam Rock (Dragon Head Rock). It was a rock formed by lava. Can you see the dragon head below?

Next, we went to the Rape Seed Flower Farm. I just love the heart below...

Next, was the Seongsan Sunrise Peak. Erm... we did not catch the sunrise there. It was near noon when we reached there.

We were lucky to meet the very nice couple above. Throughout the whole trip, we ate at the same table (coz tour guide arranged us to sit in fours for every meals), moved to different places together, took photos together, talk craps together, and poor Meiling (the other ger in the photo) and me were forced by the two men to take many thrill rides in the themeparks. Oh ya... so coincidentally, the two men are called Kelvin, and they are both born in 1979. Haha... So qiao right!

Alright, more photos...

We saw this wall stating all the timing of sunrise for 365 days in a year. And I've found mine!
On my birthday, the sun will rise at 7.30am. But Darling's sun is more hardworking... his will rise at 6.13am. Hehe..

Next, we went to buy their very famous Jeju orange chocolate.

Next was to go and take submarine! We had to take a small boat to the place where the submarine was "parked".

Getting ready to board the submarine.

Inside the submarine.

There was a tv in the submarine showing whatever that was happening outside the submarine.

This diver purposely fed the fishes to lure the fishes around the submarine.

And more photos of coral and fishes taken by Darling.

Next, was the Tangerine Farm. The oranges at the entrance of the farm were all fake, for people to take photos. Only the inner ones were real.

We were allowed to pluck 2 oranges each, but Darling and I only plucked 1 each. just in case we plucked the wrong ones. Hehe...

Lunch was pork hot plate. Yes... ALL PORK!!! This is one of the meals I had to force myself to eat pork. =( We finished lunch quite fast, and so we went out of the restaurant to take some photos.
The stone guy at the top is Korea's 土地公 leh... So cute!

After lunch, we set off to ride horse!!!

The ride was ultra scary lor. Halfway through our ride, our horses stopped twice to eat grass. What a glutton!!! The horse trainer kept shouting "打屁股!"... but I just didn't dare to hit the horse, what if the horse got angry with me and throw me off his back how??? Oh ya... Darling's horse poo-ed and shi-shi-ed along the way. Yucksy to the max lor!!

Next, was Jusangjeolli, to see the hexagonal shaped formations rocks.

Along the way, we saw this lady selling raw seafood. Eeeewww

Thereafter, it was my world. The Teddy Bear Museum!!!
The bottom right photo above is snow white and the seven dwarfs in teddy bear version ok! Too bad, I couldn't find my favourite fairy tale in teddy bear version. Beauty & the Beast!!!

This is the tiniest teddy bear ever made.

And my favourite... 宫, 我的野蛮王妃.

And more teddy bears.
Darling bought a teddy bear from the museum's sourvenir shop. And we named it Pauline. Haha... Will tell you all why we name it Pauline at later posts. Thxy Darling for Pauline! *muacks*

Dinner was chinese cuisine. Not very fantastic though, but at least no pork. Haha...

After dinner, we went to see the Nanta Show. It was some kind of comedy play where the actors and actresses used cutlery or any other utensils to make music. Super duper nice! They should come to Singapore one day.

Finally, after the show, we went back to Jeju Grand Hotel to end the day. By the time we reached the hotel room, we nearly knocked out straight away. Darling fell asleep even before I finished bathing. Piang.
